Diploma in Operation Theatre Technology Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates interested in the Diploma in OTTmust have cleared their class 12 board exams in the stream of science from a recognised board of education.
  • They must have secured a minimum aggregate score of 40% or more in the qualifying exams in subjects such as Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
  • Admissions may be done based on entrance exams, therefore, all candidates must first ensure they have a valid score in the entrance exam accepted by the college of their choice.

There are two prominent methods of admissions commonly adopted by colleges across the country, namely, Entrance-Based or Merit-Based admissions.   • As per the merit-lists, the candidates will be called to participate in the selection processes as mentioned above.
  • The candidates will be offered admissions based on their performance in the various selection processes such as the past academic records and the personal interview and/or group discussion.

Counselling-Based Selection

  • Commonly opted by universities with numerous affiliated and constituent colleges offering similar or same courses.
  • Such a selection process can be seen in both entrance-based and merit-based admissions.
  • Under entrance-based admissions, universities will release merit lists containing the names of all candidates with their scores and ranks.
  • Under merit-based admissions, the universities will release merit lists containing the names of the students and their ranks, as calculated by using the past academic record of the students.
  • Under both methods of admissions, candidates will be asked to participate in the counselling rounds, where they will be asked to select their preferred choice of college and course.
  • On the basis of their ranks and scores, as mentioned in the merit lists, their preferred choice of college and course and the vacancy of seats in the respective choices, prospective students will be offered admissions.
