Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) is a branch of paramedical science that deals with diagnosing and treating various ailments. Admission to Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) is based on the merit list of the qualifying examination. Applications can be submitted either online or offline by visiting the college.
The DMLT course minimum qualification required is 10+2 with a minimum of 45%-50% aggregate and PCM/B as a compulsory subject. Some colleges do offer DMLT Course after the 10th. However, some institutions conduct common entrance tests for admissions into the program.

DMLT Course Admission
- DMLT Admission are based on the merit list and the marks scored in 10+2. Some colleges, such as National Institute of Health Science & Research, New Delhi , admit students based on the marks scored in the entrance exams.
- Admissions can be made either by direct method or entrance-based.
- Direct methods can be done either online or offline.
- To apply through the online process, log in to the institute's official website, head to the admission section, and proceed by submitting the necessary documents such as identity details, marks list, other required information, and the number of registration fees asked by the institute.
- For the offline process, candidates need to visit the college’s admission department and fill out the application form after visiting the campus.
- For the Entrance Exam registrations, candidates need to visit the institute's official website and apply for the entrance test by paying the application fee and submitting the necessary details and documents.
- On qualifying for the entrance test, candidates can apply for the counseling session through which the college will be allocated to them.
DMLT Course Eligibility
Usually, many colleges in India require the following eligibility criteria to candidates in order to be eligible for DMLT:
- Aspirants shall have passed 10+2 with a minimum of 45% - 50% in aggregate with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/ Biology as compulsory subjects.
- Some institutes also offer the program to 10th (SSC) passed candidates having an aggregate of 50%.
- There is no age limit for DMLT Admissions in India.
- Candidates awaiting their Higher Secondary Exam, aka HSC results, can also apply for the Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology.
