Diploma in Nursing Assistant Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility for the Diploma in Nursing Assistant is as follows:
- To be eligible for DNA course, candidates must have completed class 10th or its equivalent from a recognised board in India.
Diploma in Nursing Assistant Admission Process
Each nursing aspirant will be required to participate in the individual admission processes defined specifically by the nursing colleges, in accordance with the regulations laid down by the Indian Nursing Council. For the course, there are two commonly accepted admission processes which are either direct admissions to the courses or merit-based admissions. Admissions to the Diploma in Nursing Assistant course is usually conducted between April to June every year, in India.

Merit-Based Admissions
- After submission of the application forms for the Diploma in Nursing Assistant course, candidates will be asked to participate in the respective admission processes of the concerned college.
- Under, merit-based admissions, individual colleges will release merit lists after all the application forms have been received, within the stipulated date and time.
- As per the admission policies of the individual colleges, the candidates may be asked to sit for a written test or personal interview.
- However, in most cases, admissions will be offered to candidates as per the merit lists released by the colleges. Only a few colleges require candidates to appear for written tests or personal interviews.
Direct Admissions
- As the name suggests, candidates will be asked to apply to the nursing college offering the course.
- One the application form and the application fee has been paid, candidates will be offered admissions to the course. They will not be required to clear any other selection parameters to take admission into the course.
